Registration Fee is $50
Two categories for competition will be Pork Ribs(Baby Back, St. Louis, Spare) and Chicken Wings
This is not a sanctioned event, KCBS, MBN, etc Membership is not required
Competition spots will be given to Wauconda/Island Lake applicants first, then on a first come, first served basis with payment
Up to 25 teams will be competiting, with a minimum of 8. If the minimum is not met, registration fees will be reimbursed to applicants
Water will not be provided on site
You may bring your own alcohol for you and your teams consumption only, you may not sell or give away your alcohol to the public
No pets are allowed in the cooking area/site
Festival hours are 11am to 4pm. Setup for competitors begins at 5am on the day of the event. If you leave early, you cannot drive your vehicle into or out of the festival area for safety reasons
Teams are responsible for their team members and guests at all times
Sanitizing of your work area will be implemented with the use of a bleach/water rinse(one cap of bleach per gallon of water). Each contestant will provide their own containers for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing.

All award money will be paid out the day of the event and will not be replaced
Violation of the rules are cause for immediate disqualification. No refunds will be given in the circumstance of a disqualification
Keep a clean and tidy cook area at all times
NO REFUNDS will be given to teams that back out. Only refunds will be given to teams that apply, but do not make the list on the first come, first served basis
Family friendly team names are required

Pellet smokers are allowed, but you must provide your own electricity source
A 10x10 tent is allowed to shade/cover your cook area
Event T-Shirts will be available at a discounted price for competition teams
Payouts are not yet set, the amount is based on number of competitors and sponsors for the event
Each category(ribs and chicken wings) will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize
There will be an award for Grand Champion(highest total points) and Reserve Grand Champion(second highest points)
You may compete in only one category, if you please, but will be removed from contention for Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion if you do not compete in both categories
